Creativity Over Productivity
A Shift for 2025

As 2025 looms closer, I’ve found myself reflecting on how I work, create, and live. Dan Koe’s latest video (This Daily Routine Changed My Life (4 Habits & The Future Of Productivity)) about creativity and productivity didn’t just introduce new ideas; it brought into sharper focus thoughts I’ve been turning over in my mind for years.
There’s a deep cultural trap we fall into—one where overwork becomes a badge of honor, a symbol of value. Dan’s perspective on optimizing for creativity, not productivity, felt like a much-needed nudge, especially now as I think about what I want the next year to look like.
Overwork vs. Creative Flow
For years, I operated under the belief that hard work was the key to success. Growing up in Germany, diligence and structure were values instilled early. In the financial sector, this translated into long hours, detailed planning, and constant busyness. But as I’ve learned (the hard way), this approach doesn’t necessarily yield better results. Often, it only leads to burnout.
Dan’s words about overwork becoming part of your identity hit me hard. How often have I felt that restless anxiety—that inner voice whispering that I wasn’t doing enough? Yet the more I’ve leaned into activities that might look “unproductive” on the surface—walking, reading, journaling—the more clarity I’ve gained.
2025: A Creative Reset
The idea of designing a creative lifestyle feels especially timely as we enter 2025. This isn’t just about efficiency; it’s about crafting a life that aligns with my values, where meaningful work flows from a place of curiosity and inspiration.
Dan Koe’s four principles—Clear, Consume, Create, Connect—are ones I’ve unconsciously begun incorporating into my own routine. Mornings, for example, are my creative sanctuary. Before the world wakes up, I try to journal to clear my mind, write down ideas, or sketch out a plan. Afternoons are for learning, whether that’s diving into AI concepts, researching crypto, or reading books that spark new ways of thinking.
In 2025, I want to embrace these practices even more intentionally:
Clearing the Noise: Morning walks without distractions. Just my thoughts and the open air.
Consuming Purposefully: Diving into books, podcasts, and articles that stretch my understanding, rather than skimming endless content online.
Creating Relentlessly: Writing, building, and experimenting with ideas, even if they’re messy or incomplete.
Connecting the Dots: This, for me, is where the magic happens—linking insights across disciplines and using them to create something unique.
Why Creativity is the Future
As someone passionate about AI, crypto and personal growth, I’m constantly struck by how these tools and topics amplify human creativity. The ability to leverage AI to write, brainstorm, or code isn’t about replacing the human touch, it’s about enhancing it. Dan’s point that productivity without creativity is meaningless resonates deeply. It reminds me that while technology can speed up processes, it’s the quality of our ideas and our vision that truly matter.
The transition to 2025 feels like a turning point for so many of us. The rapid pace of technological change, economic uncertainty, and shifting societal norms can feel overwhelming. But perhaps it’s also an opportunity—a chance to rethink how we work and what we prioritize.
A Personal Commitment
In the coming year, I’m committing to living this creative philosophy. I want to build a routine that honors both productivity and rest, that allows for deep focus and joyful exploration. This means:
Letting go of the anxiety that says I need to do more and trusting in the power of doing less, but better.
Prioritizing projects that align with my long-term vision instead of scattering my energy across too many goals.
Giving myself permission to redefine what “work” looks like—less hustle, more flow.
As I stand on the edge of 2025, I’m reminded of something Dan said: “The quality of your work depends on the quality of your ideas.” This isn’t just a lesson for work; it’s a lesson for life. Here’s to a year where creativity takes center stage, where we stop equating busyness with success and start designing lives that truly inspire.

Here are some guidelines you can use to tell if an account on Twitter is an ai agent or a human larp:
1) Check if there's a terminal or audit log
This is the best way to tell if an agent is legit for a couple of reasons.
